Oral Appliance Therapy
For patients who snore and/or have sleep apnea with or without snoring. These easy to tolerate medical devices qualify for coverage under some Extended Health Benefits plans. We can help you maximize your benefits as well as offer you solutions for saving towards your therapy or financing the therpay into a budget friendly payment plan if you do not have benefits.
Snoring and Sleep Apnea Home Testing
A Home Sleep Study is booked after your consultation or at the same time if the consultation determines testing is needed or recommended. You may also have been sent by your physician for this testing. We can discuss your previous testing, send you home with a monitor to test for snoring and/or sleep apnea and meet with you after testing to discuss the findings and recommendations.
Level III Home Sleep Studies are made available to patients who snore and/or suspect they have sleep apnea by prescription. They are worn for one night and returned for analysis which ususally takes 7-10 days.
MUTE Nasal Dilators
For many patients keeping their nose clear and breathing freely at night is a big issue. We stock Mute nasal dilators which are effective at helping night time nasal breathing and can be added to your oral appliance if nasal snoring persists with appliance wear.
For patients who need to stay off their back we stock SlumberBumps . Slumber Bumps are inflatable and adjustable specially designed ‘fanny packs’ that prevent back sleeping. They can be used by patients with their oral appliance when snoring or sleep apnea only remains when on your back sleeping
Theravent small adhesive vents create back pressure in the nose and help with snoring caused by nasal turbulence. We stock several strengths of resistance for patients to wear with their oral appliance if nasal snoring persists with appliance wear.
